Ukraine war: arms deliveries to Ukraine: Scholz follows up despite Putin's warning
First report from June 1:
Munich – In the background of the Ukraine conflict, one thing in particular was debated in Germany for a long time: the delivery of weapons to Ukraine.
Germany in particular has been accused of doing too little against Vladimir Putin's war of aggression.
Germany, on the other hand, discussed to what extent the delivery of heavy weapons would count as participation in the war.
The delivery was finally approved with a historic go in the Bundestag.
Now, apparently, in the midst of the Ukraine war, Germany is upping the ante again.
Germany wants to deliver four multiple rocket launchers from Bundeswehr stocks to Ukraine.
The German Press Agency learned from government circles that this was done in close coordination with the USA, which would also train Ukrainian soldiers on the systems.

Germany delivers new weapons to Ukraine - multiple rocket launchers and anti-aircraft system
Chancellor Olaf Scholz had previously emphasized in the Bundestag that Germany would support the delivery of multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine announced by the USA "according to our technical possibilities".
He also pledged to supply Ukraine with a modern anti-aircraft system to fight Russian attackers.
In addition, they want to provide the Ukrainian armed forces with a modern tracking radar that can spot artillery.
According to the Chancellor, the air defense system is Iris-T from the manufacturer Diehl.
This will deliver the most modern air defense system that Germany has.
"This will enable Ukraine to protect an entire city from Russian air raids," said Scholz.
During a meeting on May 28, Kremlin chief Putin warned both Chancellor Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron about the delivery of heavy weapons.
According to the Kremlin, this risks further destabilizing the situation.

Ukraine has pledged not to attack targets on Russian territory with the US-made HIMARS artillery system, the White House said.
In his budget speech in the Bundestag, Scholz had expressly referred to this commitment and announced that he would support the US delivery.
But he hadn't given any details yet.
