The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stressed that the West seeks and directly calls for the elimination of the Russian state and the humiliation of Russian citizens.
Patrushev said in an interview with the Russian newspaper Rossiiskaya Gazeta published today that one of the urgent tasks in the development of measures to ensure national security lies in the information field, including the conditions in which a massive media campaign against Russia is launched by the West to discredit our country, its history and traditions.
Patrushev stressed the need to formulate a binding international agreement regulating the activities of states in the information space in order to prevent conflicts between states using information and communication technologies, noting that the basics of the Russian Federation's policy in the field of international information security approved by the Security Council and issued by a presidential decree confirm the state's focus on developing cooperation International on the basis of equal partnership.
