Munich – According to the city’s mayor, this year’s Oktoberfest will only take place without any restrictions to protect against the corona virus – or not at all.

Reiter made a similar statement in April when he announced that the famous folk festival would take place again this year after a two-year Corona break.

Lauterbach skeptical
Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD), on the other hand, considers such statements to be difficult in view of the possible development of new variants of the corona virus.
The Oktoberfest is scheduled to begin on September 17th.
