Four people were killed last night (Wednesday) during a shooting spree at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to the local police chief, Captain Richard Molenberg, one of the dead is the shooter.
It is still unclear how the perpetrator was shot.
Molenberg also said that many were injured, and that there was a "catastrophic scene" at the medical center.
"At this point the police are still moving between the hospital rooms to check if there are any further threats," a police statement said on Facebook, "We know there are many injured, and possibly dead as well."
St. Francis Hospital was closed following the incident that took place in one of the buildings belonging to it, an outpatient clinic where a center for breast cancer surgery operates.
Aerial footage from a helicopter showed rescue workers evacuating a person on a stretcher from inside the building.
Dozens of police vehicles surrounded the hospital campus, and police stopped traffic and set up a contact center at a nearby school for families seeking to find out about the fate of their loved ones.

Molenberg said the suspect killed because he was the shooter was identified by the fact that he was carrying a long rifle and a handgun.
The incident in Tulsa took place just over a week after the massacre in Obadah, Texas, during which 18-year-old Salvador Ramos killed 19 children and two teachers, after shooting his grandmother.
The shocking act in the United States caused a renewed wave of calls to restrict arms and act against the United States' most powerful arms lobby.
The event resonated around the world, and messages of condolence and sympathy came from sources such as the Pope, the presidents of the powers and even the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zlansky.
