A 1250 meter long banquet table will be the highlight of the Moosburg festival year.

Now the detailed plan for June 25 has been presented.

Moosburg

- 1250 years old is only once, and accordingly unique should be celebrated in the city of Moosburg.

Mayor Josef Dollinger, building yard manager Martin Holzner and other members of the festival committee now presented details of the planning.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The first eye-catcher in the run-up to the 1,250-metre-long banquet, at which around 5,000 people are expected, is the work of art by Julia Neumayr.

The Fresh councilwoman and graphic artist designed the posters and flyers - with an image that previous viewers almost fell in love with.

Her city council colleague Johannes Becher (Greens) then presented the exact program.

There are 24 different stands that are looked after by Moosburg restaurateurs or clubs.

Everyone gets their own area.

The offer ranges from grilled to crêpes, international specialties (Turkish, Asian, Greek and Co.) to the whole ox, which the EV Aich wants to prepare on the "Plan".

596 tables and the largest menu in the history of Moosburg

Construction yard manager Martin Holzner begins the day with the longest banquet in Bavaria at 9 a.m. when the streets are closed.

569 tables are then set up by his team - with white tablecloths, a red ribbon in the middle and red and white floral arrangements, based on the city's coat of arms with the three roses.

In addition, 3,000 Moosburg anniversary mugs are on offer, which visitors can fill up at all stands throughout the day and, on top of that, keep as a memento of this special day.

"We have the largest menu that has ever existed in Moosburg," says Johannes Becher happily.

In addition to the XXL culinary offer, there is also a large cultural package - with different groups and a wide variety of music styles, from traditional to modern.

There will be no stages, rather the musicians should play next to the tables.

The festival of festivals should also thrive on spontaneity.

At 9 p.m., thousands should strike up a song together

At 9 p.m. there will be the minutes in which the banquet will be recorded for eternity.

Then all the musicians play the festival classic "Oh, how is that nice" together, and the 1250 meters are filmed with a drone flight.

"Then we can all be happy about how young we were in 50 years," Becher joked.

The organizers want the guests to come dressed in the Moosburg city colors of red and white.

Everything is now planned for the banquet, which on Saturday, June 25, from 6 p.m. is to transform Moosburg into a huge celebration zone from Münchner Straße to the Zehntstadel.

Those responsible now only have to hope that the weather will play along for the day.

If bad weather is foreseeable in the days before, Sunday, June 26, from 12 p.m. has already been set as an alternative date.
