A 43-year-old bought a motorcycle and had a serious accident in Bavaria.

His friend stopped briefly, but then drove on.

A 43-year-old motorcyclist lost his arm in a serious motorcycle accident.

A73 near Lautertal: man has an accident with a motorcycle and loses his arm

The accident happened on the A73 near Lautertal in the Coburg district.

The man, who did not have a driver's license, bought the motorcycle in Coburg and wanted to drive it home, the police said on Friday (June 3).

He is said to have driven too fast onto a driveway.

When he noticed the curve, he braked and crashed into the central barrier with his motorcycle.

He was badly injured in the process.

A rescue helicopter took him to a special clinic.

Doctors there tried to save his arm.

Motorcycle accident on the A73 in Bavaria: Freund just keeps driving

A friend who had accompanied the 43-year-old to the purchase had followed in the car.

After the accident on Thursday evening, according to the police, he stopped briefly, but then drove on to avoid being checked.

According to investigations, neither the 43-year-old motorcyclist nor his friend had a driver's license.

In addition, the seriously injured may have taken narcotics.

The police are investigating both men.
