Rock im Park is just around the corner: the festival will finally take place again on the first weekend in June 2022.
A real major project for 1700 volunteers.
Nuremberg – The time has come: Thursday, June 2nd is the big arrival day for the Rock im Park 2022 music festival. On Friday, June 3rd, things will finally start again.
After two years of forced break because of Corona, the longing among the visitors should be huge, even if there was already a lot of criticism of the organizers.
The festival organization is therefore anticipating a high rush to the music festival in Nuremberg.
A big task for all helpers at Rock im Park – but above all for the medical security service.

Rock im Park 2022: 1700 volunteers are preparing
It will be the largest medical security service for two years: the Nuremberg aid organizations Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz (BRK), German Life Saving Society (DLRG), Johanniter Unfall-Hilfe (JUH) and Malteser Hilfsdienst (MHD). ) are preparing for Rock im Park 2022.
From the day of arrival on June 2nd until the day of departure on Monday, June 6th, around 1700 volunteers are on duty.
According to the press release of the music festival, the emergency services will be on the entire site around the clock "to be the contact for the medical care of the festival visitors".
Experience has shown that this will also be necessary: in 2019, the last year Rock im Park was held before the corona pandemic, the aid organizations treated more than 3500 visitors.

Medical information for visitors to Rock im Park 2022
According to the organization, a large number of injuries and illnesses can be treated by the highly qualified emergency services on site.
This means that visitors do not have to leave the festival site for several hours in the event of minor emergencies.
A total of seven first-aid stations are spread across the site, where the medical guards can sew up cuts, among other things.

However, to ensure that there are as few incidents as possible and that paramedics and music fans have the best possible time at Rock im Park 2022, the aid organizations have now published important medical information for visitors.

Protection from the sun
: Avoid direct sunlight, wear a hat and use sunscreen.
Stay hydrated
: Drink at least two, preferably even three liters of water a day.
Danger of insects
: The oak processionary moth is a butterfly whose stinging hairs can trigger caterpillar dermatitis as a caterpillar.
The aid organizations advise festival visitors to go to one of the first aid stations in the event of contact or sudden skin irritation, rashes or itching.

Weather problems
: According to the current status, it is quite possible that there will be storms or even thunderstorms during Rock im Park.
In this case, visitors should seek shelter in a permanent building or vehicle.
Bathing ban
: The waters on the festival site are not approved for bathing.
Barbecue rules
: only fire up the barbecue in the designated areas – and never use it in the tent.
The latter may sound obvious, but when the helpers explicitly warn against it, it seems to have happened one or the other time.
Important note: Cashless payment at Rock im Park 2022 - the organizers are planning to use RFID wristbands.
