The project “The Recordable City” continues to gain shape.
A new small playground has now been created on the green area above the youth café on Hindenburgstrasse.
Bad Tölz -
At the new Tölz playground, a seesaw for six invites children and young people to linger and is intended to make the area attractive for all residents of the district.
"We want to create centers distributed throughout the city that encourage children and families to exercise and spend time there," explained Mayor Ingo Mehner recently at the inauguration of the seesaw.
And you don't just want to limit yourself to a few large playgrounds, but also create many small oases.
The new six-person seesaw was designed and built by the company Kristallturm from Lenggries and has now been handed over to the city free of charge.
"The seesaw would be worth almost 6,500 euros when it was sold," explains Martin Kaltenbach from "Kristallturm".
Bad Tölz: New small playground with seesaw
Kaltenbach says they worked with the city as early as the construction of the course elements at the Lettenholz school.
And since the idea of the "playable city" was very much supported and at the same time wanted to see how the newly designed seesaw performed in everyday use, it made sense to make the play equipment available to the city.
And initial experiences have already been made in the three weeks that the seesaw has been up: "It has been wonderfully accepted." (Arndt Pröhl)
