Even before the oral admissions, the number of candidates eligible for written examinations is lower, in certain disciplines, than the number of positions offered.
For colleges and high schools, the situation is very critical in mathematics (816 eligible for Capes for 1035 positions), in German (83 for 215) and in classics (60 for 134).
