A decision couldn't be any tighter: 10:10 ended in the Schliersee municipal council on the sale of a plot of land.

Means: no.

Schliersee – Name votes are very rare in the municipal councils in the district – also in Schliersee.

But now Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer (CSU) has had to ask each individual councilor for their vote.

It was about the sale of a property on Bahnhofstrasse, which is currently being used as a bus parking lot (we reported).

This was so important to Horst Teckhaus (PWG) and Gerhard Waas (Greens) that the latter requested a roll-call vote.

It ended 10:10, so the sale was rejected.

Does the municipality really not need the area?

At the beginning of the discussion, Waas quoted a letter he received that afternoon, according to which the municipality could only sell the property if it was not needed and would also have to put the sale out to tender.

There was no time to have the administration check this before the meeting, but as he feared budgetary consequences after a sale without a tender, he wanted a roll-call vote.

Although there is a valuation report for the area, a sale to the highest bidder could have flushed more money into the municipal coffers.

Waas didn't want to take responsibility for an omission.

CSU and two members of the Schlierseer parliamentary group agree, the rest reject

As reported, the neighboring company had signaled its interest in buying.

When Babette Wehrmann (Greens) asked for more details, it turned out that there were two separate companies belonging to the Engelhard family.

Which meant no difference for Pius Kieninger (CSU).

It wanted to support "the two young guys" who run the company's fortunes.

Schliersee has already lost enough businesses.

All other members of the CSU parliamentary group plus the mayor saw it similarly, as did Philipp Krogoll and Christoph Stöger (both Die Schlierseer).

Everyone else wanted to keep the property in community ownership.

The lack of a municipal council could have tipped the scales

The administration is thus spared having to examine an obligation to advertise, at least in this case.

And something else doesn't matter at first: the relationship between Florian Reinthaler (CSU) and the Engelhards.

Whether he would therefore be excluded from a resolution also depends on who exactly made the application for the real estate transaction, father or son.

Since Reinthaler was excused from the meeting, the detailed work was unnecessary.

Bus parking lot: town center or not?

There were different opinions as to whether the bus parking lot belongs in the town center - especially with regard to the efforts of the municipal council to design and upgrade it.

Jürgen Hötschl (CSU) denied this, there are clearly other views.

Deputy Mayor Peter Sprenger (Die Schlierseer) justified his no with the future of the fire station opposite.

As is well known, the municipality wants to lend a hand with construction, which means that parking spaces will be eliminated and the property that is now under discussion could be needed.
