CHRONICLE - Will voters confirm their choice of the presidential election or will they return to the LRs? That is what the campaign is all about in this riding.


The Republicans can lose 16th South, but the constituency can stay right.

This paradox is explained by the strategy of La République en Marche to put in front of the mayor LR Francis Szpiner, Benjamin Haddad, former member of the UMP, who voted Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007 and 2012 before joining Emmanuel Macron.

His campaign also aims to reassure a right-wing electorate who voted for the President of the Republic by nearly 47% on April 10.

Almost 20 points more than in 2017. The useful vote worked, depriving Valérie Pécresse of precious votes in this traditionally right-wing district.
