Zakharova: It was the West that caused the global food crisis

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova asserted that the West caused the global food crisis, stressing that Russia is ready to supply the world market with grain, and that the West should lift the sanctions that impede that.

Zakharova said during a press conference today in Moscow that "the West claims that the world is suffering from a food crisis and accuses our country... We are ready to export grain to all needy countries, and I reiterate that it is the West that prevents this, as Western countries impose restrictions on the entry of foreign ships to Russian ports." While preventing the maintenance of Russian ships in western ports, it also created insurmountable barriers in the field of insurance and banking, and if they want to solve the problem of global famine, they must lift the sanctions.”

Zakharova pointed out that the Russian forces have restored work in the port of Mariupol and other ports and have cleared them of mines, but the West is the one who prevents foreign ships from reaching, and no one can deny these facts.

Zakharova reiterated that the Russian military operation in Ukraine will continue until all its goals are achieved, foremost of which is the disarmament of Kyiv and the elimination of Nazism, noting that the West's continued sending weapons to Ukraine will prolong the crisis in it.

Zakharova explained that the neo-Nazis used medium and long-range weapons provided to them by the United States against civilians and children and are destroying entire neighborhoods in Donetsk and Luhansk, indicating that the Pentagon will certainly deny this, but Moscow has documented and not fabricated information about this and Washington must provide clarifications.

With regard to the sanctions that the United States is deliberately imposing on Russian journalists residing on its territory, Zakharova pointed out that if this continues, her country will be forced to deal reciprocally.

Regarding Russia's suspension of its military-technical cooperation with Norway, Zakharova indicated that the latter is taking anti-Moscow positions, so cooperation with it has been suspended.
