With "Bares for Rares" there is a real sensation.

A real Picasso finds its way into the Pulheim rolling mill.

Only moderator Horst Lichter can gain little from the masterpiece of the Spanish painter.

Pulheim - That's probably the dream of every salesman who makes his way to the Pulheim rolling mill: that his object for sale turns out to be a real treasure.

At “Bares für Rares” (here all the news on the topic page) the time had come again in the episode of May 31: At the sight of a real Picasso, both the expert and everyone in the dealer room caught their breath.

Only Horst Lichter (60) was quite unimpressed.

Seller brings real Picasso to "Bares for Rares"

Achim Esser (57) from Nideggen has a very special piece in his luggage.

At "Bares for Rares" he presents a ceramic plate that the real estate agent grabbed while clearing out.

A bull's head is painted black on the white plate, which, according to expert Albert Mayer (72), stands for "power and animal strength".

The piece created in 1956 was painted by none other than Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973)!

A true rarity, after all the plate series was limited to 450 pieces.

Picasso plate brings "Bares for Rares" seller 4000 euros

Seller Achim states 2,000 euros as the desired price for his plate.

But the expertise of art dealer Albert Mayer is even higher.

Despite slight damage on the back, he estimates the work at 3,000 to 5,000 euros.

In the dealer's room, the Picasso plate also caused a stir.

After a hot bidding war, Julian Schmitz-Avila makes the deal.

The dealer paid a whopping 4,000 euros for the Picasso plate.

As enthusiastic as the experts and dealers are - the real Picasso can't really knock one's socks off: moderator Horst Lichter.

After salesman Achim went to the dealer's room, he whispered to Albert Mayer:
