Al-Hasakah-SANA
Today, the exams for the first semester of the accredited open education programs began in the faculties of the Al-Furat University branch in Al-Hasakah, after they were previously postponed for two months due to the violations of the “Qasd” militia.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Dr. Jamal Al-Abdullah, the director of the university branch stated that all the necessary preparations for the exams have been completed, as about 4,500 male and female students are applying for the open education programs approved at the university’s branch in Al-Hasakah, which are “legal studies, financial and banking studies, and the agent program in the College of Education.”
Al-Abdullah pointed out that the university branch secured alternative places to present the exams for students of the banking and financial studies programs after the Faculty of Economics was damaged as a result of the bombing by the American occupation at the beginning of the year.
The first quarterly exams for the open education programs were scheduled to start in Al-Hasakah two months ago, but due to the violations of the separatist “Qasd” militia backed by the American occupier and its destruction of part of the university faculties and the seizure of some of them and the refusal to hand them over to the university branch, this led the Ministry of Higher Education to suspend the attendance and the semester exams in the colleges of Al-Hasakah Governorate.
