Receipt and marketing of the wheat crop continues in the Suqaylabiyah grain center in Hama countryside, where the daily marketed quantities range between 720 and 800 tons.
The head of the center, Diab Bilal, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the process of receiving wheat is going well and according to what is planned to ensure that farmers' production of this strategic crop is marketed with the least burdens and costs.
On the procedures for protecting and marketing the wheat crop, the Director of the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Jungle, Eng. Awfa Wassouf, stated that all firefighting vehicles were distributed to the fields to secure them in the event of any fire, while wiring and rehabilitating agricultural roads to facilitate the passage of the movement of machinery and cargo vehicles for the crop.
It is noteworthy that the branch of the Syrian Grain Corporation in Hama designated 8 centers to receive wheat from farmers in Shataha, Suqaylabiyah, Jub Ramleh, Salhab, Mahrada and Kafr Behem, to receive Al-Dukma wheat, while two centers in Hama and Salamiyah were approved to be packed with bags.
