Iranian rocket scientist Ayoub Anthazari, who was found lifeless earlier this week, and Iranian media reported his death today (Saturday) joins a list of senior Tehran survivors.
However, in some cases, the circumstances that led to the death are unclear.
For example, Iranian media reported two weeks ago that a senior member of the Revolutionary Guards, Colonel Hassan Sayed Khodai, had been killed.
According to reports, unknown individuals on a motorcycle fired at him five times with pistols with silencers and fled.
The Revolutionary Guards called the assassination a "criminal terrorist act by elements opposed to the revolution and linked to global arrogance."

It was also reported that Hodai, whose rank is equivalent to a colonel in the IDF, was involved in terrorist acts against Israeli targets in Africa and South America.
After the assassination, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi announced that he had instructed to pursue the assassins, threatening: "We will avenge his blood."
A senior Revolutionary Guards commander later accused Israel of assassination.
This, after the New York Times reported that Israel had informed the United States that it was responsible for the assassination of Khodai.
Following the publication, officials in the defense establishment criticized the conduct of the Americans, saying that "such publication endangers Israel."

A few days later, Iranian media reported dead and injured in a "work accident" at a factory in Perchin, near Tehran.
The next day, the New York Times reported that the "accident" occurred as a result of an UAV attack.
Furthermore, on Tuesday an Iranian opposition website reported that Ali Ismail Zada, a senior member of the Quds Force unit of which Houdai was also a member, was assassinated by the Revolutionary Guards after he was suspected of leaking information that led to the assassination of Houdai.
Ali Ismail Zada reportedly died when he fell from the roof of his house.
Sources told the website, Iran International, that he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
It was further reported that Revolutionary Guards officials told Zada's family that he had committed suicide, and even claimed that he chose to end his life due to psychological problems after separating from his wife, leaving a note.
However, sources told Iran International that the Revolutionary Guards had decided to eliminate him and stage a suicide scenario, on suspicion of leaking intelligence.
