Penzberg – The Penzberg SPD wants to know: Among other things, the local association wants clarity about the costs for the city and the personnel costs for the building yard because of the Corona demos.
Opponents of the corona policy and vaccination skeptics have been marching through Penzberg on Monday evenings since the beginning of the year.
The inner city in the area of Karlstrasse/Bahnhofstrasse/Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse/Sonnenstrasse/Ludwig-März-Strasse is closed to traffic for around two hours.
A circumstance that is now mobilizing the local SPD.
On Tuesday evening (May 31), parliamentary group chairman Adrian Leinweber, also on behalf of local chairman Clemens Meikis, handed over a catalog of questions to the administration at the city council meeting.
Leinweber justified the initiative with many questions from the population and "from within its own ranks" - after almost all corona measures had been eliminated.
The group leader called it "a big issue".
The SPD would like clarity about the organizers, origin of the participants, costs for the city, personnel costs for the building yard, police and rescue service and the content of the events.
Leinweber: "Against what are you still demonstrating?" You also want to know what the affected traders say about the restrictions.
The parliamentary group and local association also want a discussion in the local parliament: "What is the attitude of the city council?" said Leinweber.
Responses by June 30th
According to Leinweber, the SPD would like to have its list of questions answered by June 30th.
"We will provide answers," promised Mayor Stefan Korpan (CSU).
He also announced a coordination with the police and district office to move the protest events away from the street "to the sidewalks".
According to Rundschau information, the Corona demos have so far been registered by private individuals from Penzberg, but also from the surrounding area such as Benediktbeuern and Iffeldorf - often under the motto "Against the division of society and compulsory vaccination".
