The Niépce 2022 prize, considered the Goncourt of photography, was awarded to Julien Magre, we learned on Thursday June 2 from the association Gens d'images, creator of the award.
Created in 1955, this prize rewards each year the work of a professional photographer under the age of 50.
It is endowed with 15,000 euros and supported by the National Library of France (BnF) and the Ministry of Culture.

In 2022, Julien Magre is one of the 200 winners of the photographic commission from the Ministry of Culture, initiated by the BNF in order to carry out a
“radioscopy of France, a look at a country crossed by the health crisis”
.
The association Gens d'images, founded in 1954, organizes meetings and workshops around photography and also awards the Nadar prize each year, which is dedicated to a photographic work.
