Bad morale, heavy casualties and inadequate equipment: according to a military insider, the Russian army is not doing well.

Kyiv/Moscow – Russia again reveals military deficits in the Ukraine war.

After it became known in March how amateurishly parts of the troops were fighting organized and equipped, the latest report from a suspected insider shows how bad things are for the soldiers.

Recently, on the 100th day of the Ukraine war, it was time to draw an interim balance: From a number of perspectives, it was bad for Russia.

The army has already suffered heavy losses, the objectives of the invasion have not yet been achieved, and the Kremlin seems to be far from reality.

This is also reflected in the mentioned eyewitness report.

Ukraine War News: Heavy Losses for Russia

The US think tank "Institute for the Study of War" (ISW) takes up the insider's report in the latest analysis.

He reports under the pseudonym "Boytsovyi Kot Murz".

According to him, medical care in particular is “miserable”.

There is a lack of equipment and field hospitals.

"Boytsovyi Kot Murz" itself published an inventory on Friday (June 3), stating: "Our standard first-aid kit contains neither a hub nor a full-fledged modern hemostatic bandage - things that can facilitate and simplify the treatment of wounds. "

In the past few weeks of the war, it has also become known that the Russian armed forces lack communication options.

In this context, several secret services intercepted radio messages and telephone calls.

Again and again it was said that the equipment was inadequate.

The lack of communication with the command centers is one of the biggest problems, according to the ISW analysis.

News about the Ukraine war: Poor supplies for the Russian army

The information from the military insider and the ISW largely coincides with the results of a study by the "Center for Strategic & International Studies" (CSIS).

In particular, the logistical shortcomings are cited as the reason for the sluggish progress of Russia's invasion of the Ukraine conflict.

Fuel, ammunition and spare parts are often not available.

The scientists cite the storming of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv at the beginning of March as an example of the failed strategy.

The Ukrainian general staff described the action as "phase one" of the Ukraine war.

This was followed by "phase two" with the crippling offensive in the Donbass.

In the current "phase three", the Russian soldiers are now primarily to defend areas that have already been conquered.

According to the “CSIS” study, the large-scale attack on Kyiv mentioned failed largely because of the supply.

Although numerous units reached Kyiv relatively quickly - within 48 hours - they remained largely isolated on site because of a lack of supplies: material and personnel.

Ukraine War News: Has the Russian Army Learned From its Mistakes?

The scientists conclude that the Russian army has learned from its mistakes.

Nevertheless, there are apparently still similar situations in the Ukraine war.

In the ISW analysis, the situation around Izyum is given as an example.

The commanders there were not prepared for the fighting.

In particular, the terrain, primarily in the forest, is causing problems for the armed forces, they say.

Vladimir Putin has already found several commanders in his army to be scapegoats for the lack of progress in the Ukraine war.

Editor's note

The parties to the conflict are partly the source of the information.

Information on the number of victims or the course of the war cannot be directly verified independently.

In his inventory, the military insider speaks, among other things, of the poor morale among the Russian troops.

There are "bloodsuckers" in the army that are not operational.

“None of that works,” he sums up.

Again and again there are reports about the bad morale of the Russian soldiers.
