Dozens of people were killed today in an armed attack on a church in Ondo state, southwest Nigeria.
And the Associated Press quoted state representative Ogunmulosoyi Ulwool as saying that gunmen opened fire during the gathering of worshipers at the Church of St. Francis in Ondo state, and also detonated explosive devices inside the church, killing dozens of people, including children.
Local media also reported that there are fears that more than 50 people may have been killed in the attack.
According to reports, many worshipers were shot and slaughtered, while circulating videos showed that there were children among the dead.
At least 50 people were killed last month in an armed attack in northeastern Nigeria.
