It is not the good moment.
In the middle of the Pentecost weekend, traffic had been very disrupted on Sunday for several hours on the rail network departing from and arriving at the Gare du Nord in Paris, with traffic blocked on the main lines until the middle of afternoon, said SNCF on Sunday.
A "power supply fault in Saint-Denis" is at the origin of the chaos, without the SNCF being able to say immediately if this power failure is linked to the strong storms which crossed France on Saturday.
“It's too early to tell,” said a spokesperson for the group.
Traffic should resume in the afternoon
"The circulation of trains is completely interrupted on departure and arrival at the Gare du Nord following a power supply fault", warned the SNCF on its site in the middle of the morning.
"Some TGVs take another route with Paris Gare de Lyon as their departure station or arrival station", it is specified.
Traffic “will be blocked on the main lines until mid-afternoon,” a spokesman for the railway company told AFP.
Traffic had left in the middle of the day on RER B and should restart around 1 p.m. on RER D, said the same source.

The Minister of Ecological Transition Amélie de Montchalin acknowledged Sunday "very strong disturbances in the north of Paris".
“Normally at 1 p.m., traffic at Gare du Nord should be able to gradually resume,” she added, on RTL and LCI.
