BRUSSELS - The EU has launched a platform, through the Enterprise Europe network, to connect European and Ukrainian companies in order to increase the export capacity of agricultural products now blocked in Ukraine.
"Millions of tons of grain are stuck in Ukraine and we must join forces across sectors and borders to move them through companies looking for ways to support Ukrainian exports, companies offering transportation or storage solutions, and Ukrainian grain traders looking for logistics partners, "said
Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean
.
"Our matchmaking platform will help create new partnerships - I can't wait to see them in action, every ton of grain matters!".
The European Commission is working closely with Ukrainian member states, authorities and operators to accelerate work on "solidarity corridors" to facilitate food exports from Ukraine via various EU land routes and ports.
