For the second time in a day, the government suffered another defeat last night (Tuesday) after the vote on the appointment of MK Matan Kahana as Minister of Religions fell.
As you may recall, last night the Judea and Samaria Regulations Law also did not pass the Knesset plenum vote, after 58 MKs opposed it compared to 52 supporters.
The vote, which Prime Minister Naftali Bennett asked to be seen as a vote of confidence in the government, fell after 55 MKs voted in favor - and 55 others opposed it, including MK Idit Silman, a right-wing member.
