Assessment: Saar will not overthrow the government; Attack on Zoabi in the Coalition: "She's freaked out" | Israel today

The Minister of Justice, who has threatened much of the continued existence of the government, is meanwhile not expected to take drastic measures according to estimates, although he was quoted as saying: "It is impossible to run a state like this!" • Severe criticism of the Meretz MK: "She said she would vote with us, did she suddenly remember that it was an 'occupation' ?!"

After the failure - the coalition is preparing for an internal war but not for breaking tools:

It is estimated that although the Judea and Samaria Regulations Law was not passed last night (Monday) in the Knesset, Justice Minister Gideon Saar (New Hope) will not overthrow the government. The Minister of Justice and shall not raise laws of the faction to the Ministerial Committee for Legislation headed by him.

This, after MK Mazen Ghanaim voted against the law and other MKs from the faction left the plenum.

As you may recall, last night, after a consultation in the Bennett bureau, it was decided that the promotion of the laws of RAAM would be stopped.

Hours before the vote, Saar said: "A Knesset member from the coalition who does not support such a fundamental law, is actively working for its dissolution. A composition is possible when there is a very broad coalition. It is impossible in a coalition of 60 members. "

Also in the opposition sector, the one who once again embarrassed the coalition is MK Jida Renoi Zoabi (Meretz) who again voted against the government's position. Coalition officials attacked her harshly: "She has gone mad.

She was already with us.

And freaked out.

She said she would vote with the coalition and backed it.

"Suddenly she decided she could not vote in favor of the Judea and Samaria regulations, and suddenly she remembered that it was an occupation. And what does that have to do with anything now?"

MK Zoabi said after the drama in the plenum: "I voted against the law to extend the validity of emergency regulations in the West Bank.

"It is my duty to be on the right side of history in not giving legitimacy to the occupation and in supporting the basic right of the Palestinian people to establish a state alongside the State of Israel."

Deputy Prime Minister Yair Lapid, who last time when Zoabi wrote a threatening letter to retire, met with her and returned her to the coalition, did not speak to her yesterday and does not intend to speak to her later.

Under attack.

As you may recall, the law was not passed by a majority of 58 opponents against only 52 supporters.

The Likud said after the vote: "Bennett - home. It's over. It's time to bring Israel back to the right."

On the right, they replied: "Ben Gvir, Gafni and Amsalem joined Tibi and Kasif against the residents of Judea and Samaria for the personal needs of Bibi. The Likud will burn the country for Bibi's needs. As in the recruitment law and the citizenship law that first fell, we will pass this law."

If the law does not pass in subsequent attempts, this has significant legal consequences.

According to the opinion of the Deputy Attorney General (Constitutional Law), Adv. Avital Somplyansky, published last week, the entire system of laws and benefits that apply to Israeli citizens is not valid throughout Judea and Samaria as long as Israeli law is not applied in these areas.

This means that the only laws that will be applied to the residents of the area are the laws of the State of Jordan and the laws of the military regime, although they are not adapted to the civilian system at all and are not similar or in many cases constitute relief in civil law.

Will they succeed in the crisis?

Prime Minister Bennett and Ministers Lapid and Ganz in the Knesset debate on the Judea and Samaria Regulations Law,

The consequences of such a situation are immediate: the expiration of regulations, which allow a connection between the two legal systems in Judea and Samaria and into one legal entity, will create a situation in which Israelis who commit criminal offenses in Judea and Samaria can not be prosecuted in Israeli courts. And according to the military law operating in the field.

The National Insurance Institute stated that even if the regulations are not passed, the National Insurance Law still puts the residents of Israel in Judea and Samaria under the law and they are entitled to benefits.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
