Yao Junhao said on Facebook in the evening (6th) that he had received a letter from the Home Affairs Department, confirming that he was disqualified as a member of parliament.


Yao Junhao said that he was disqualified from being a member of parliament for "earning early". "It seems that I used to hold Christmas activities. Yao Junhao did not complete the district councillor's oath due to serving his sentence last year. He took the oath at the Government Headquarters on the 1st of this month.

This time Yao Junhao was DQ was the first time that Chen Jizhi had been disqualified as a district councillor since he took up the post of acting director in January this year.

The Civil Affairs Bureau doubted the oath. Tai Po District Councillor Yao Junhao stated that he would not reply to the letter. He was released from prison for 7 months.
