This is the longest public transport strike in the last five years.
The companies that have been shut down are Superbus and Afikim Transport 2022 (formerly Egged Transport).
Among other things, most of the lines surrounding the Jerusalem, the Matron's in Haifa, the lines in Afula, Tiberias, Migdal Haemek and intercity lines to Jerusalem and Beer Sheva will be silenced.

"So far, the unionized drivers for the workers have shown great restraint," said Raid Mashaal, chairman of the Electra-Afikim Transport Workers' Committee. Leave the industry.
Unfortunately this is the way drivers' conditions have changed in the past: in 2015 and 2018 our strikes led to wage increases.
We hope that maybe this time, the companies and the state will present beneficial solutions even without the need for a strike. "
