"Unclear situation" was the name of the crime scene, which was broadcast on Sunday as a repeat in the first.

The spectators were still enthusiastic.

Munich – The repetition of a two-year-old episode on Pentecost Sunday – on paper one could have expected viewer frustration.

The opposite was the case: the Munich crime scene “Unklare Lage” with investigators Ivo Batic and Franz Leitmayr delighted the viewers with a realistic case and even garnered a top TV spot.

Munich crime scene: Exciting episode with reference to reality

In "Unklare Lage" the title stands for the whole episode: After shots are fired in a bus during a routine ticket inspection, the SEK intervenes and shoots the attacker.

In the backpack of the 20-year-old, the investigators then find a radio and spare magazines - evidence of a second perpetrator?

Rumors quickly made the rounds on social networks, the media reported that there was unrest all over Munich.

Is an attack imminent?

Batic and Leitmayr chase through the whole city, trying to calm the terrified population and forestall another possible gun attack.

The whole case is reminiscent of the attack at the Olympia shopping center in Munich in 2016, when an 18-year-old student shot nine people.

Back then, too, rumors spread like wildfire on social media, and in the meantime it was said that shots had been fired at Stachus.

According to

sueddeutsche.de

, there were "67 operations at 67 crime scenes - and 66 false alarms" that evening.

Tatort in Munich: Great praise for repetition - and top placement

Although the episode was broadcast for the first time in 2020 and it was "only" a repeat on Pentecost Sunday, the viewers were enthusiastic.

Numerous praises were collected under the Tatort post on Facebook.

There was talk of great "tension", the "depressing situation" and the "realistic" setting.

A user summed up the mood well with her comment: "Rather an exciting and entertaining repetition than such an unspeakable episode as last Sunday." Another user explicitly emphasized the realistic plot: "Very exciting.

The end left many questions unanswered.

Unfortunately realistic.”

The ARD team should also be happy about the ratings: According to the number

center dwdl.de

, the Munich crime scene celebrated first place in the ratings.

A total of 5.98 million people saw the crime scene, which was 23.9 percent of the total audience.

This put them ahead of ProSieben with the rerun of the blockbuster “Captain Marvel” or the feature film “A Summer in Tuscany”, which was shown on ZDF during prime time.

By the way: For Tatort friends, there will be a new episode from Dresden on Whit Monday.
