The Russian Defense Ministry revealed that the regime forces in Kyiv have equipped firing points and ammunition depots in a number of medical institutions and a children's clinic in Kharkov and Makolaev.
Russia Today quoted the head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center Mikhail Mezintsev as saying: “The soldiers of the Ukrainian forces and territorial defense units equipped firing points and ammunition depots in Kharkov in the buildings of the Clinical Hospital, City Hospital No. 25, the endocrinology clinic of the Institute of Endocrinology and Children’s Clinic No. 23".
Mizintsev warned that the Ukrainian armed forces are forcibly detaining employees and patients of medical institutions under the pretext of ensuring their safety, noting that the Makulayev Regional Defense militants have prepared firing positions in the buildings of the medical center on Pogranichnaya Street and in the hospital on Vlotskaya Street, and have installed artillery and rocket launchers in the vicinity.
"The militants of the Ukrainian forces have prepared fortifications and an ammunition depot, and the entrances to the medical facility in Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic and to hospital building No. 2 have been mined," Mezintsev said.
Mizintsev also indicated that fortifications belonging to the Ukrainian armed formations were also equipped in the hospital building in the village of Ugroide in the Donetsk People's Republic, in addition to the deployment of rocket launchers and artillery weapons in the area.
Mizintsev concluded that these facts and other serious violations of the rules of international humanitarian law have so far been ignored by the World Health Organization despite repeated statements by the Russian Federation's Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response.
