Damascus-SANA
(Our Story with the Stone) A sculpture exhibition brought together by plastic artists Lutfi Al-Ramahin and Walid Murad today at Zawaya Gallery in Al-Qasaa neighborhood in Damascus.
The exhibition, which was inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mushawah, and a group of plastic artists and those interested in this type of art, included a wide range of artists' products that reflected the aesthetic concept of the Syrian stone through their works, in addition to several other wooden and metal works.
Dr. Mashouh expressed her happiness with the distinguished artistic efforts, which indicate the activity and vitality of the artistic movement in Syria, indicating that the exhibition combined two contradictions. On the one hand, the two-legged artist, who has been firmly established in artistic life for decades, and on the other hand, the sculptor Murad, is a lover of art, refusing to show his art to the public, pointing out that their works ranged Between realism and abstraction, it is different in tools and materials, yet it is a civilized means of expression.
In an interview with Sana, the artist Al-Ramahin confirmed that art in all its colors has one goal, which is its connection with feelings and human thought, explaining that he draws inspiration from the spirit of his works from imagination and thought.
In turn, the artist Murad talked about his first exhibition, which came as a common link with the artist Al-Ramayhin, as he drew from him the strength and will of sculpting, pointing out that his works are made of Syrian stone, and some of them tell about the crises experienced by his homeland, and the other bears joy and peace and breaks the intensity of pain and suffering imposed by the war.
