The Inland Revenue Department is calling on the public to be alert to a fraudulent email purporting to have been sent by the department, titled "Your Annual Tax Refund Is Ready", which provided a hyperlink to a website in an attempt to obtain the recipient's personal and credit card details.
The IRD stressed that it has nothing to do with the email and has referred the incident to the police for further investigation.
