Sad ending: Shmuel Katzenelbogen, 30, a resident of Petah Tikva, died yesterday (Monday) evening after being fatally injured in a car accident.
Katzenelbogen rode an electric scooter in the Hadar Ganim neighborhood of the city last Tuesday and was hit by a passenger vehicle.
He was evacuated by MDA to Beilinson Hospital unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury. He was later transferred to Maayan Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak, where he was pronounced dead. He left behind a wife and three children.
This is not the only fatal accident that has occurred in Petah Tikva in recent days.
Last night, a 13-year-old boy was killed in the city while also riding an electric scooter.
The boy, Daniel Aharon, a resident of Ramat Gan, came to Petah Tikva to visit a company.
He was evacuated by MDA in critical condition to Beilinson Hospital and was soon pronounced dead. Police detained two drivers involved in the accident. They were questioned and released.

Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg commented on the two cases: "Two people were killed in riding accidents on electric scooters that took place in the city. Severe cases for which two young people lost their lives and left a huge void. I share the heavy grief of families, no words can comfort tragic cases "
