Standing in a traffic jam for hours – it gets on your nerves.

But the drivers of which car brands actually lose patience the quickest?

An overview.

Munich - The holiday season is beginning again - and with it the time of traffic jams on German autobahns.

The slow traffic and waiting in the car can become a nerve-wracking test for many drivers.

In fact, even a quarter of Germans have to face this test several times a year.

This emerges from the latest Allianz Direct Auto Report.

For this purpose, 1,000 German drivers between the ages of 18 and 65 were surveyed.

BMW and Peugeot: The drivers of these brands lose patience the fastest

But how quickly do German drivers lose their patience?

The report shows that 30 percent of drivers lose their composure after 30 minutes.

For 27 percent it's only 15 minutes.

In addition, there are also many myths about driver qualities in connection with the car brand.

BMW drivers in particular are often criticized here.

The drivers of the Munich cars quickly lose patience even in traffic jams.

Only Peugeot drivers are annoyed even faster.

Of them, 47 percent lose patience after just five to ten minutes in a traffic jam.

And who is the most relaxed?

Renault (21 percent), Kia (21 percent) and Fiat drivers (19 percent) stay relaxed for more than an hour in traffic jams.

Also interesting: The drivers of BMW (46 percent), Mercedes (43 percent) and Audi (41 percent) are most annoyed when the track is not clear.

The drivers of these car brands also feel the most burdened by traffic jams.

Traffic jam: Some drivers do other things in the meantime

German drivers are not only annoyed by traffic jams.

Gasoline prices and the behavior of other drivers also cause anger behind the wheel.

But there are also drivers who can find something good to gain from traffic jams themselves: every fifth German does other things during traffic jams and can use the time sensibly.

More than every third driver (35 percent) thinks about problems while waiting in traffic jams.
