At a birthday party in Duisburg, a man injured a guest with an ax.

Police are investigating attempted murder.

Duisburg – A dispute escalated at a birthday party in Duisburg.

The night of partying from Saturday (June 4th) to Whit Sunday ended for a 22-year-old in the hospital and for a 24-year-old man in police custody, as reported by 24RHEIN.

At the celebration, a 24-year-old attacked another guest with an ax and seriously injured him in the face, according to the Duisburg police.

The two drunks clashed in a warehouse on Hölscher Strasse around 1:30 a.m. for reasons that were previously unknown.

The injured 22-year-old had to be operated on, according to the Duisburg police there was no danger to life.

The officers arrested the alleged attacker for the time being.

The public prosecutor's office ordered a blood test and is now investigating attempted manslaughter.

Over the weekend, the alleged perpetrator was brought before the magistrate and is currently in custody.

Most recently, a man was seriously injured in a shootout between two rocker groups in Duisburg.
