Hartz and cordial: Little money - Barackler still wallow in luxury

"Hartz and cordial": The residents of the Benz barracks have one thing in common - they lack money.
But that doesn't stop her from affording one or two luxuries:
The Benz barracks in Mannheim are a problem district, a cult district and home at the same time.
The RTLZWEI social documentary "Hartz und cordial" has been accompanying the residents of the settlement in their difficult everyday life for several years.
The residents of the former working quarter of the square city have already become real celebrities and are now known throughout Germany, as MANNHEIM24 reports.

As individual as the problems of the residents of the Benz barracks are - they all have something in common: the "Hartz und Herzen" actors have to turn over every cent twice.
Although the people of Mannheim have now become well-known on TV, they are by no means wealthy.
Many are dependent on the money from the job center, but this does not prevent them from affording one or the other luxury.
Jonas grew up in the Mannheim housing estate and knows money worries only too well - which doesn't prevent him from spending money on expensive clothes.
The 21-year-old has been working as a security officer for over a year and earns his own money with it.
In order to look good at work, he regularly buys new outfits and branded clothes.
His fiancee cannot understand his expenses.

Logos, special decoration and recognition value: The cult resident Elvis is also impressed by the branded clothes.
Unlike Jonas, however, Elvis denies buying the expensive clothes himself.
"Where do people think things come from?
A lot is from the closet, a lot is from my brother, it's what he no longer needs," he reveals on "Hartz und Herzen".
Since Elvis has been attacked on the Internet for his appearance with branded parts, he wants to break with the Hartz IV clichés: "When you see me on TV with Adidas and allegedly expensive shoes.
So I ask myself, how do these people imagine a Hartz IV recipient?"

The so-called "Grillz" are not cheap and can cost between 500 and 5,000 euros.
So how is it possible for Janine to afford it?
The shopkeeper friend of hers gave the young mother of twins a discount so that she could fulfill her dream despite her difficult financial situation.
Of course, this has to be shown and that's why Janine doesn't shy away from recording everything on Instagram.
The shop owner even asks her for a picture of the new "Grillz" to put on his "VIP Wall".

The 44-year-old Christine can also be seen regularly on "Hartz and cordially - day by day Benz barracks".
Most recently, the "Hartz und Herzen" viewers were able to take part in Christine's big makeover.
The single parent seems to be investing in herself in other ways too – a new e-bike is supposed to make her mobile again.
Christine has fulfilled a long-awaited wish: a brand new electric bicycle.
It should make her everyday life easier in the future.
But the insight into Christine's expenses makes the viewers suspicious, because she paid over 800 euros for the e-bike including shipping.
"Hartz and cordial": Despite money worries - family enables children to pursue expensive hobbies
There is always something going on in the extended family around Florian and Marina.
The couple's children have discovered hobbies that significantly reduce the family budget: their youngest offspring, Laura, has discovered a new hobby and would like to learn to play the violin.
But that's not all: the "Hartz und Herzen" actors bought a horse for their seven children.
The dream of owning a horse was financed by a coronavirus child payment.
That's why there's a lot of criticism online and the viewers rail against the family.
