During the crisis, France put households and businesses under public assistance.
In 1960, public expenditure represented 35% of GDP.
From the 1980s, they passed the 50% mark.
The “whatever it takes” got them past the 60% mark.
The initial vision of the Nupes program is therefore simply false.
