The Orleans prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for "
false denunciation
" after the complaint of a 19-year-old young woman who claimed to have been stung without her knowledge during an evening at a discotheque, he announced on Tuesday 7 June in a press release.

The young woman, who had filed a complaint on April 18, 2022 for "
administration of a harmful substance without her knowledge
", said she had been stung "
by a man and a woman in a nightclub in Saint-Loup-des-Vignes
" (Loiret) , between Montargis and Orléans, according to the press release from the prosecution.
The victim "
declared having felt a sharp burning sensation in the forearm, having weakened to the point of not being able to move and losing consciousness
" and "
presented a reddish trace resembling a trace of sting
”, according to the same source.
An investigation opened by the Orleans prosecutor's office had been entrusted to two Loiret gendarmerie units.
“Impossible” allegations
During this time, the young woman “
informed the national media (in particular BFMTV, France 3 and TF1) of the facts

The complaint was dismissed on May 6 for "
lack of offense
" and the prosecution opened a new investigation for "
false denunciation of facts constituting a crime or an offense which exposed the judicial authorities to useless research.
The prosecutor specifies that three other investigations are in progress within the jurisdiction of the Orleans court for "
administration of harmful substance
" for facts which occurred in nightclubs and a bar between February and May 2022.
