Vladimir Putin is terminally ill and has to read huge letters: A Russian secret agent is now allegedly spreading new rumors about the Russian president.

LONDON – There has been speculation about the health of Russian President Vladimir Putin for years.

Sometimes it's claimed that he has blood cancer, then it's pancreatic cancer again, then a nervous condition like Parkinson's or multiple sclerosis.

The Russian President, who has been keeping the world in suspense for the past three months with the Ukraine war, is being watched very closely during his public appearances.

Bloated face, rigid posture, body parts twitching, clinging to the table - every indication of a possible fatal disease is analyzed.

Rumors about Putin's illness: is it deliberate Kremlin propaganda?

A statement from the Russian government on Putin's illness has been issued by his Defense Minister Sergey Lavrov.

A few weeks ago he denied the rumours: the President appeared in public every day, said the Foreign Minister.

“You can watch him on the screens, read and hear his performances.

I don't think sensible people can see signs of illness or malaise in this person."

That Lavrov responded to the rumors at all is all the more remarkable given that a possible illness of the president is actually considered a taboo subject in Russia.

However, there is also the opposite thesis: According to this, the Kremlin is deliberately spreading speculation about Putin's serious illness in order to make him appear more human within Russia and to distract from the Ukraine war, which Putin believes is not going as hoped.

This was said, among others, by political expert Olga Lautman from the "Center for European Policy Analysis" in an interview with the

Newsweek news portal.

Rumors about Putin's illness: Alleged spy speaks of "severe cancer"

Now an alleged Russian secret agent who wants to remain anonymous is heating up speculation about Putin's state of health again - in an interview with the British tabloid

Daily Mirror

, in which he makes very concrete statements.

Rumors of Putin's disease: does the Russian president read giant letters?

In addition, Putin is gradually losing his eyesight.

When he appears on TV, everything is written in huge letters on pieces of paper so that Putin can read it.

"The letters are so big that only a few sentences fit on a piece of paper," says the agent.

"He doesn't wear glasses because that would be a sign of weakness."

Putin's mood also fluctuates extremely.

While he used to be calm and collected when dealing with subordinates, he now often has fits of uncontrolled anger.

"He's gone completely insane and doesn't trust anyone anymore," says the anonymous spy.

According to the Daily Mirror

, the alleged revelations stem

from a secret message sent by the secret agent to former FSB agent turned Kremlin critic Boris Karpichkov, who is hiding from Putin in the UK.

Whether the speculation is correct is uncertain.
