The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Moscow will continue to monitor and document any manifestations of discrimination against Russians and Russian speakers in the world.
"We will continue to monitor the development of the situation around Russians and Russian-speaking citizens and record data on any manifestations of discrimination in order to draw the attention of leaders of foreign countries to these crimes and demand them to fulfill their international legal obligations towards our citizens," a statement published by the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
The statement affirmed Moscow's determination to make every possible effort to protect the rights of Russians or those who have even a small relationship with Russia anywhere in the world, stressing the need to study the manifestations of intolerance in the Euro-Atlantic region in a serious and impartial manner.
The ministry mocked the self-proclaimed false democracy claims by saying that the (model democracy) countries “officially declare their commitment to the rule of law, yet the aggressive persecution of Russians appears convincingly and that Western societies have not only failed to get rid of discriminatory and racist sentiments but also continued to encourage them. “.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously published a report on the violation of the rights of Russian citizens in foreign countries, noting that the rights are seriously violated in the Baltic states, Britain, Poland, the United States and Canada.
