Syrian-Venezuelan talks on ways to strengthen parliamentary relations

The Syrian-Venezuelan Friendship Committee in the People's Assembly discussed today with Chargé d'Affairs at the Venezuelan Embassy in Damascus, Joaquin Gomez, ways to strengthen and develop parliamentary relations between the parliament and the General Assembly in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The chairman and members of the committee pointed to the importance of the deep-rooted Syrian-Venezuelan relations, appreciating the Venezuelan leadership, government and people's support for Syria during the years of the terrorist war waged against it.

For his part, Gomez stressed that the strong relations between the two countries is a true embodiment of the will of the two friendly peoples, Venezuela and Syria, indicating the importance of continuing to develop and strengthen cooperation relations in its various aspects between the two friendly countries.

Gomez called for exchanging visits between parliamentarians in both countries, which contributes to enhancing expertise and deepening bilateral relations.
