A joint African military force announced the elimination of more than 800 members of the "Boko Haram" terrorist group within two months on islands on Lake Chad at the confluence of the borders of Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad.
The media quoted the force as saying in a statement, "The operation achieved a resounding success, as 805 terrorists were killed and 44 vehicles, 22 motorcycles and a large number of heavy and light weapons were destroyed or seized."
The force indicated that about 3000 soldiers participated in the air, land and sea operations launched by Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria and Chad.
On the 15th of last month, the multinational joint task force operating in Nigeria announced the killing of at least 300 Boko Haram terrorists on the outskirts of Lake Chad in recent weeks.
It is noteworthy that the Multinational Joint Task Force is a joint military effort established by countries including Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Nigeria and Benin to fight the "Boko Haram" group and the West African State group affiliated with ISIS, which threaten the stability of the Lake Chad region.
