Syrian Taekwondo player Aya Mubarak managed to make her mark in the record of her sports participation locally and abroad, which was represented by many bright medals, the last of which was the bronze medal in the Arab Taekwondo Championship, which was held recently in the UAE.
Mubarak, 17, said in a statement to SANA that she loved the Taekwondo game because it strengthens the character and depends on intelligence and speed of intuition, in addition to self-defense. The Republic, which was held in Tartous in 2015, and then won the gold medal for several years during its participation in the Republic’s championships that were held in Damascus in 2016, 2017, and 2021. In 2018, it also won the gold in the Republic Championship in As-Suwayda, and won the gold in the national team trials tournaments in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and in 2019 She won the gold of the fourth Olympics for juniors in Homs, and in 2021 she was named the best female player in the Republic.
Mubarak also spoke about her foreign participation in 2018, where she won the silver medal in the sixth Fujairah International Open Championship, ranked “G1” in the UAE, and in the same year, she won the gold of the Beirut Open Championship “G1”, and in 2019 she achieved the bronze of the International Friendship Championship in Russia and the bronze of the Asian Championship “G” 2” in Jordan, the bronze of the seventh Fujairah International Championship, the gold of the Beirut Open, and in 2020 the bronze of the Arab Championship in the UAE, ranked “G1”.
As for her ambitions, as she puts it, they are to develop her level and achieve her dreams academically to obtain a human medicine degree, and in sports to get a medal in the World Olympiad in Paris 2024, where she continues her training with determination and determination.
