Employers' organizations invited to the Élysée on Tuesday

At the start of this new five-year term and as the legislative elections approach, Emmanuel Macron intends to consolidate his positions with the bosses.


The heads of the three representative employers' organizations are invited to lunch at the Élysée on Tuesday, we learned on Wednesday from the Medef and the Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CPME). Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux (Medef), François Asselin (CPME) and Dominique Métayer (U2P) are invited, four days later, the leaders of the five representative unions.

No specific agenda has been sent to the participants, according to the CPME, but this invitation is launched a few days after Emmanuel Macron's announcement of the launch of a "

National Council for Refoundation

" (CNR) to concretize the "

change of method

” promised by the President of the Republic.

Asked Wednesday morning on RTL, the president of the Medef Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux said he welcomed

this initiative with "

benevolence ", which he "
