If there is a conference on social methods at the beginning of July, and the subject is on the table, on the method, we will say what we have to say (...) but there will be no discussions during the summer on the subject of pensions
", affirmed Laurent Berger.

This summer, I told them (to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Labour, editor's note), the CFDT will not be available to discuss pensions
, ”he insisted.
Towards implementation in summer 2023
The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, who wants to postpone the retirement age to 65, affirmed last week his wish to see this reform implemented in the summer of 2023, a timetable compatible with the start of discussions at the beginning of September.

This timetable could be imposed due to the postponement of the publication of the report of the COR (Pension Guidance Council), initially expected on June 22.
According to the COR, this delay is due to the government, which was unable to send its “
stability programme
” to Brussels in April because of the presidential election.
The report could be presented at best in July, if not in September.
On May 24, the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt, in charge of the file, seemed to rule out discussions this summer.
