Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned against the dangers of NATO's arms transfer to Moldova.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, we have seen how Moldova is trying hard to push for more active and effective cooperation with NATO," Zakharova said in a statement today, noting that strengthening the security of states is at the core of their sovereignty and internal affairs, but it is unlikely that NATO weapons for Moldova fulfill these tasks more than its commitment to neutrality.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko explained that NATO's plans to supply Moldova with weapons raise many questions, especially that the country's constitution clearly stipulates its non-bloc neutral status, and therefore its supply of weapons from a NATO member state raises questions.
