For the first time, a policewoman with cerebral palsy enlisted in the police, underwent the required training with individual guidance and was assigned to serve as a human resources officer in the Jerusalem district.

Dana Gupstein, 20, from Jerusalem, is a medical volunteer with cerebral palsy who moves around in a wheelchair.

Last May, she officially enlisted as the first policewoman in the "Uniform Combination" program.

Last Tuesday she was certified as part of a police role course at the National Police College.

The apprenticeship was accompanied individually, and training contents were delivered to her in an adapted manner by the faculty of the Shaham program at the college: Superintendent Hila Damari, Sergeant Farah Arma and Sgt. Tal Abu Samra.

During the training she was given professional content, she learned about the powers of the policeman, performed simulator shooting and more, and at the end of them she was successfully tested and certified to be a full-time policewoman.

In a unique and exciting ceremony for the members of the Shaham Police Department and the college commanders, Dana conveyed a clear message to the police officers of her age. "The sky is the limit, there is nothing that stands in the way of desire.

I wish you to face every obstacle as great. "

The department's head of the college, Superintendent Hila Damari, said: "Dana was a role model for the trainees, instilled in them a high level of motivation and moved everyone with her words."

To the trainees she said, "In every little difficulty there is, remember that there is Dana who today was certified as a policewoman, joins our organization, our family. This is just the beginning. Dana, in my eyes you are a role model and I saw how hard you worked and did not give up on yourself Part of the Israel Police family. "
