34-year-old races with Ford in semitrailer

A kilometer-long traffic jam was the result of a rear-end collision on the A 94 on Wednesday. A man from the Erding district was injured.

– A Ford driver was moderately injured in an accident on Wednesday around 5.45 p.m. on the A 94 in the direction of Munich between the Pastetten junction and the rest area.

At the wheel of a high-powered Ford, the 34-year-old from the Erding district overlooked a semi-trailer truck in front of him that was overtaking another truck.

The reason given by the Hohenbrunn traffic police is the high speed of the car.

According to the police, the driver of the sports car braked hard and tried in vain to prevent a collision. The Ford crashed head-on into the rear of the truck, was thrown onto the right-hand lane and collided with the second semi-trailer truck there.

Due to the force of the impact, the car was thrown again onto the left lane, where it thundered onto the concrete safety barrier.

The driver of the Ford had to be taken to a hospital after the accident.

The two truck drivers, two Hungarians aged 46 and 66, were uninjured.

The vehicles suffered total property damage of around 40,000 euros.

The recovery of the vehicles and the medical first aid for those involved in the accident led to a one-hour full closure of the motorway.

When they arrived, the Pastetten fire department found that no one involved in the accident was trapped.

The Reithofen-Harthofen, Forstern and Altenerding fire brigades, which were also alerted, were therefore able to cancel their journey.

The Pastetten activists quickly diverted traffic to the Pastetten junction.

Nevertheless, a kilometer-long traffic jam formed in front of the accident site.

The Autobahnmeisterei Ampfing took over the cleaning of the Autobahn.
