Dr. Elias Boutros, Vice President of Al-Baath University for Administrative Affairs, noted the importance of cooperation between the university and the Wounded Home Project, which provides care and support for the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army, explaining that this type of symposium contributes to health awareness that includes prevention, treatment methods and dealing with problems that may be exposed to the wounded or injured. any other person.

Boutros referred to the free medical treatments provided at the university hospital to the people of Homs, in addition to the rehabilitation and training of students, whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels.

For his part, Ahed Muhammad, director of the Wounded Home Project in Homs Governorate, stated that medical services for the wounded are the main service in the project, pointing out the importance of this symposium for the wounded and their families to introduce ulcers and methods of treatment and prevention, and to provide them with medical information from the right source and instructions to deal with new cases in a proper manner that contributes to results better.

The Director of the University Hospital, Dr. Firas Zureika, indicated that this symposium is the first of its kind between the hospital and the Wounded Home Project, as it addresses the wounded who made sacrifices for the sake of the homeland. It is our duty as medical cadres to stand by them and provide all possibilities for them to relieve them and their families.

Brigadier General Doctor Fadi Rostom, Head of the Burns and Reconstructive Surgery Division at Homs Military Hospital, talked about the definition of skin ulcers, the places where they form, how to treat them, and the most important means to be followed to prevent them, indicating that prevention is one of the most important stages of treatment because it saves effort and fatigue on the patient.

The symposium was attended by Dr. Faiq Shadoud, Secretary of the University Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Sufi, Head of the Teachers Syndicate at the university, and a crowd of families and families of the wounded and those interested.
