Because the former employer of a Hartz IV recipient did not fill out the forms for the job center correctly, her payments were canceled.

Berlin - Hartz IV recipients often suffer from bureaucracy.

The job center often requires a large number of documents, which often also have to be requested from third parties.

However, if they don't cooperate quickly enough, this can lead to problems.

A mother of three had to experience this too.

Leonie has three children and is dependent on Hartz IV.

In order for her to receive the money, the job center asked for a form from her former employer.

However, he did not fill this out correctly, which had serious consequences for Leonie, as reported by Helena Steinhaus, founder of the Sanctions-Free Association, on Twitter.

The job center withdrew her entire Hartz IV benefit, leaving her mother suddenly without any money.

But then she even had a little bit of luck in misfortune: "In the same month, a letter came saying that the withdrawal would be temporarily lifted because she had 3 children.

How nice.

But: next month, i.e. June, the money will be completely withdrawn again, ”writes Steinhaus.

Hartz IV: Case causes outrage - "Where is human dignity?"

The club was able to support Leonie financially, "but we can't alleviate the stress and the imbalance of power," says Steinhaus angrily.

She asks herself: "What should she do if the ex-employer does not fill out the form correctly?"

In the comments, Twitter users are also outraged by the job center's actions.

"That sounds a bit like the job center's arbitrariness" or "Something like that has to stop.

Where is human dignity?”, are just a few statements from angry users.

Many also point out that the job center did not act legally in this case.

After all, it could have requested the relevant information itself from the mother's former employer, because here the limits of its obligation to cooperate had been reached.
