Two women aged 84 and 67 died Thursday, June 9, after being hit in Montauban on a pedestrian crossing by a car driven by an 88-year-old woman, AFP learned from the prosecution.

One of the victims died on the spot, while the other had been transported to hospital before his death from the consequences of his injuries.
Shocked, the driver was also taken to the hospital.
The prosecution has opened an investigation for "
manslaughter
", which is usual in this type of case.
