The Russian Defense Ministry revealed that Ukrainian nationalists had deployed heavy weapons at a gas equipment factory in the Druzhkovka region of the Donetsk People's Republic and detained the residents in the basements.
Today, the head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center Mikhail Mezintsev said that "in Druzhkovka, on the territory of the gas equipment factory, the militants of the national battalions prepared firing positions, deployed heavy weapons and detained local residents in cellars under the pretext of ensuring their safety."
Mizintsev stated that the militants of the Ukrainian army forcibly detained hundreds of residents of Severodonetsk in the underground structures of the "Azot" plant, and booby-trapped chemical containers at the plant and were planning to detonate them upon withdrawal.
He added that Ukrainian nationalists booby-trapped containers of toxic substances at the Avdiivka coal plant, accusing Russia of using chemical weapons.
